Board Of Directors

Robert Barnes (2025-2027) – President

Chris Jackson (2025-2027) – Treasurer

Amber Brzymialkiewicz (2024-2026) – Secretary

I would like to introduce the 2025 to 2027 Deerwood Lakes Association board of directors.

President – Robert Barnes

My wife and I moved to Deerwood Lakes in search of a peaceful, country-style setting where we could build a new chapter of our lives. We have two wonderful daughters and two grandchildren, and we treasure every moment we get to spend with them. In my free time, I enjoy camping in our RV, riding motorcycles, and making memories with the grandkids.

I bring a wide range of experience in organization and project management, especially in the building industry, where I’ve worked for over 42 years. During my time in Michigan, I owned and operated my own construction company for 11 years, taking a hands-on approach to daily operations. Currently, I serve as a Senior Project Manager at KB Home, where I’ve worked for over 11 years. My time at KB Home has been marked by multiple awards: I was named Superintendent of the Year in my first two years and Project Manager of the Year for seven years. I’ve led the company in cost savings while consistently upholding the standards and guidelines required of my position.

I remain actively involved in building practices and understand what’s needed to prevent unsafe construction within a community. This past year, I served on the Architectural Control Committee here in Deerwood Lakes, where I used my knowledge to help protect our neighborhood from poor building practices. You may have seen me out in the community—cutting roadside grass or performing road maintenance. I’m hands-on when it comes to taking care of the place we call home.

In addition to my professional background, I’ve spent the past seven years volunteering at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, where I served as a Captain leading a team of 88 volunteers. My role was to ensure the team was organized and that guests had a great experience. I’ve also been deeply involved in the motorcycle community—serving for seven years in various leadership roles within a Harley-Davidson dealership riding chapter, including Secretary, Treasurer, Deputy Boss, Road Captain, and Safety Officer. Currently, I run a riding group with over 300 members, organizing rides and events at various locations.

I’m passionate about giving back, staying involved, and helping Deerwood Lakes thrive as a safe, well-maintained, and welcoming place for all residents.
